I have practiced for over 20 years as a Marriage Family Therapist in the Bay Area, and I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon (LMFT #T0901). I was classically trained as a psychodynamic therapist and currently utilize body-centered techniques, mindfulness and humanistic-existential therapy in much of the work that I do with my clients.

I graduated in May of 1998 with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, California. That degree also included specializations in Child and Adolescent Treatment, Expressive Arts Therapy and Animal Assisted Therapy.

My experience includes working with individuals, families, couples, high risk youth, battered women & men, chemically dependent individuals, and the dually-diagnosed in a variety of settings including private practice, the Oakland School District, BABS- Bay Area Battered Women's Shelter, Herrick Psychiatric Hospital in Berkeley, CA, Contra Costa County Juvenile facilities and several different residential treatment facilities.

My current affiliations include Existential ~ Humanistic Northwest where I occupy the role of Treasurer and Public Relations & Community Outreach Coordinator and active membership in both AAMFT and CAMFT (American Association of Marriage Family Therapists & California Association of Marriage Family Therapist).

I currently provide contract services for Volunteers of America/Solid Ground program, which supports individuals and families struggling with domestic violence and abuse, and Access To Recovery, a federally funded program designed to help individuals and families that have been victims of crime or abuse.
